Dubai's extreme heat and dusty conditions are very hard on AC systems. We recommend a full AC service every 12 months — ideally in February or March before peak summer temperatures arrive. Cabin filter replacement should be done every 12,000–15,000 km in Dubai's dusty environment.
R134a is the traditional HFC refrigerant used in most vehicles manufactured before 2017. R1234yf is a newer, low-global-warming-potential HFO refrigerant mandated in new vehicles from major manufacturers since 2017. They are NOT interchangeable — using the wrong gas will damage your AC system. We carry both and use the correct one for your vehicle.
A gas top-up only fixes the symptom, not the cause. If your refrigerant is low, there is a leak somewhere in the system. Without finding and repairing the leak, the gas will simply leak out again — often within weeks. We perform electronic leak detection as part of every service to find the actual source.
Bad smells from AC vents are caused by mold and bacteria growth on the evaporator coil — which stays damp after use — combined with a dirty cabin filter. Our AC deep clean service uses an anti-bacterial treatment on the evaporator and replaces the cabin filter to permanently eliminate odours.
